Diesel particulate filter (DPF)
P2454 Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Pressure Sensor A Circuit Low
The ECU monitors the voltage of the DPF differential pressure sensor. P2454 is set when the signal stays below the minimum expected voltage.
Common causes
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Open 5 V reference circuit
- Faulty differential pressure sensor
- Corroded or damaged connector
Typical symptoms
- Check engine light (MIL) on
- Regeneration disabled
- Reduced power or limp mode on some vehicles
P2454 and NuoVolta
When the DPF and its pressure sensor have been removed for off-road or motorsport use, where permitted by law, the NuoVolta DPF / ADV Removal solution adjusts the ECU calibration and the DTC removal feature can disable this code. Otherwise, check the sensor wiring and supply first.
