SPEED LIMIT / VMAX REMOVAL

SPEED LIMIT

In the ECU (Electronic Control Unit), speed limit is a limit programmed in the vehicle's electronic control unit and determines the maximum speed that the vehicle can reach. This limit can be set and enforced for several reasons:

FUNCTION OF SPEED LIMIT

  • Speed Limit Programming: The speed limit is programmed into the vehicle's ECU software. This limit is determined during the production phase or can be updated later at authorized services.
  • Speed Sensors: Speed sensors in the vehicle constantly report the instantaneous speed of the vehicle to the ECU. These sensors can often be wheel speed sensors or transmission output speed sensors.
  • ECU Control: The ECU constantly monitors data from speed sensors. When the vehicle speed approaches or exceeds the set speed limit, the ECU controls the vehicle's speed by various methods, such as limiting engine power or reducing fuel supply.
  • Warnings and Interventions: When the speed limit is approached, some vehicles give warning signals to the driver (for example, a light on the instrument panel or an audible warning). If the speed limit is exceeded, the ECU prevents the speed from increasing by throttling the engine or reducing the fuel supply.

PROBLEMS OF SPEED LIMIT

  • The speed is limited to a certain KM/H. And you cannot exceed this speed limit.

NUOVOLTA SOLUTION OF SPEED LIMIT

  • Apply the solution of the module related to NUOVOLTA.
  • Write the mod file to the ECU.
  • Take it for a test drive.
  • If all the checks are OK, it means the problem is solved.
