OIL PRESSURE FIX

OIL PRESSURE FIX

VAG Group vehicles (Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen) 3.0 TDI engines with ecu model EDC17CP54, MD1CP004 and 4.0TDI engines with ecu model MD1CP014 are equipped with an oil pressure regulation valve controlled by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). The manufacturer reduced the oil pressure to ease the load on the oil pump and indirectly improve emissions. This is one of the factors contributing to wear and excessive consumption of engines. With this module, you can bring the oil pressure to the required parameter values and increase the oil pressure.

You should also check that the valve itself may be faulty. Due to its low cost and ease of replacement, it is recommended to consider valve replacement alongside software changes. This provides a comprehensive approach to potential oil pressure problems.

FUNCTION OF OIL PRESSURE PUMP

  • Lubrication: Oil is necessary to keep the moving parts inside the engine (for example, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, and valve trains) functioning properly. The high-pressure oil pump reduces friction and wear by continuously delivering sufficient amounts of oil to these components.
  • Cooling: Engine oil helps dissipate heat inside the engine. The high-pressure oil pump circulates oil throughout the engine, balancing temperatures and preventing overheating.
  • Cleaning: Oil collects dirt, metal particles and other foreign matter inside the engine. The high-pressure oil pump cleans this dirty oil by passing it through filters and ensures that the components inside the engine remain clean.
  • Hydraulic Pressure Provision: Modern engines feature variable valve timing systems and other hydraulic mechanisms. The high pressure oil pump provides the hydraulic pressure required for these systems.

COMPONENTS OF OIL PRESSURE PUMP

  • Oil pump
  • Oil filter
  • Engine oil
  • Oil in and out pipelines

PROBLEMS OF OIL PRESSURE PUMP

  • Wear on engine bearings
  • Malfunction light coming on (Check Engine Light)
  • The oil light remains on
  • Increase in Fuel Consumption
  • Low oil pressure warning

NUOVOLTA SOLUTION OF OIL PRESSURE FIX

  • DTC codes should be read and removed with a diagnostic tool.
  • Apply the solution of the module related to NUOVOLTA.
  • Write the mod file to the ECU.
  • Check the dashboard and DTC logs. Take it for a test drive.
  • If all the checks are OK, it means the problem is solved.
