Virgin immo (ECU virginization) is the process of returning the immobilizer-related data in the engine control unit (ECU) to its "virgin", unpaired state. A virgin ECU is no longer linked to the immobilizer and keys of the vehicle it came from, so it can be adapted (paired) to the immobilizer system of another vehicle with a suitable diagnostic or key programming tool, just like a new unit.
Unlike immo removal, the immobilizer function is not disabled: after the adaptation, the anti-theft protection of the vehicle remains active.
