Shifting calibration is the adjustment of the shift maps stored in the transmission control unit (TCU). These maps determine at which engine speed, throttle position and load the transmission shifts up or down in each driving mode, such as comfort, eco or sport.
With this module, the shifting behaviour of the transmission is recalibrated for more consistent and responsive gear changes, for example after engine tuning or when the factory shift strategy does not suit the vehicle's use.
